Driving rhythms and atmospheric layers.
Deep, driving sets streamed live on Twitch: techno, tech house and progressive, layered for the long haul.
See Live & Next ShowDavid Turner is a Seattle techno and tech house DJ with more than fifteen years behind the decks, playing clubs, festivals, raves, and private events across the Pacific Northwest. He is the founder of House Music Asylum, a global collective of more than eighty DJs, and the host of the David Turner Music Show on Twitch.
Techno sits at the center of it, but the sets move. Tech house, progressive, deep house, and trance all find their way in, built around driving rhythms and atmospheric layers that hold a room from the first record to the last. David started producing electronic music in 1995 and stepped behind the decks in 2011, and his sets carry both halves of that history: a producer’s ear for arrangement and a DJ’s read on a crowd.
David has played Monkey Loft, Ora, and Club Sur, and brought techno to the crowd at Critical Festival. Seattle has one of the most durable underground electronic scenes in the country, and playing to a city that knows the music is what shaped the way he reads a floor.
Along the way he has opened for Pan-Pot, Prok & Fitch, Donald Glaude, Markus Schulz, Morgan Page, Robbie Rivera, Jody Wisternoff, Jerome Isma-Ae, Simon Doty, Fehrplay, Dave Audé, TJR, Angger Dimas, MissNine, and Bombs Away. More on how he got here is in the full biography.
The David Turner Music Show has passed 130,000 hours watched, built as a high-production, visually interactive broadcast rather than a camera pointed at a booth. It has taken the Twitch front page for six hours straight and peaked near 2,800 concurrent viewers. Recent sets are archived on the live streams page, and recorded mixes are in the mixes archive.
David takes club and event bookings throughout Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area, from opening slots and peak-hour sets to full-night residencies and festival stages. If you are looking for a techno or tech house DJ in Seattle who can build a set around your room and your crowd rather than run a template, get in touch.

David Turner is a Seattle techno and tech house DJ trading in driving rhythms and atmospheric layers. He has been producing since 1995 and DJing since 2011, 15+ years deep, moving fluidly across techno, tech house, progressive house, deep house and trance, with sets built for the long haul and the deep end of the night.
The son of a Seattle guitarist, David grew up surrounded by music and played many instruments before turning to electronic production in 1995, crafting his first techno tracks and experimenting with the possibilities of the machine. By 2011 he took that vision to the booth, and his sets have since earned a reputation for meticulous curation: driving rhythms threaded with atmospheric layers, built to move a room from the first record to the last.
He founded House Music Asylum, a global collective of 80+ DJs, giving a home and a platform to artists who take the same patient, hypnotic approach to the dancefloor. What started as a shared obsession with the low end grew into an international network of selectors and producers.
Along the way he has played rooms like Monkey Loft, Club Ora, Club Sur, Trinity, Noc Noc and Gorg-O-Mish, and brought techno to the crowd at Critical Festival. He has shared the bill with heavyweights, opening for Pan-Pot, Prok & Fitch, TJR, Simon Doty, Robbie Rivera, Jerome Isma-Ae, Jody Wisternoff, Fehrplay, Morgan Page, Markus Schulz, Donald Glaude, Dave Audé and more.
He also hosts The David Turner Music Show on Twitch, an extended weekly broadcast that has drawn 130,000+ hours watched and peaked at ~2,800 concurrent viewers, a live-streamed room where the driving-and-atmospheric approach plays out in real time.
Opening slots, peak-hour sets, full-night residencies and festival stages. Available for clubs, festivals, raves and private events worldwide.
