About

Fifteen years chasing the low end.

David Turner is a Seattle techno and tech house DJ trading in driving rhythms and atmospheric layers. He has been producing since 1995 and DJing since 2011, 15+ years deep, moving fluidly across techno, tech house, progressive house, deep house and trance, with sets built for the long haul and the deep end of the night.

The son of a Seattle guitarist, David grew up surrounded by music and played many instruments before turning to electronic production in 1995, crafting his first techno tracks and experimenting with the possibilities of the machine. By 2011 he took that vision to the booth, and his sets have since earned a reputation for meticulous curation: driving rhythms threaded with atmospheric layers, built to move a room from the first record to the last.

He founded House Music Asylum, a global collective of 50+ DJs, giving a home and a platform to artists who take the same patient, hypnotic approach to the dancefloor. What started as a shared obsession with the low end grew into an international network of selectors and producers.

Along the way he has played rooms like Monkey Loft, Club Ora, Club Sur, Trinity, Noc Noc and Gorg-O-Mish, and brought techno to the crowd at Critical Festival. He has shared the bill with heavyweights, opening for Pan-Pot, Prok & Fitch, TJR, Simon Doty, Robbie Rivera, Jerome Isma-Ae, Jody Wisternoff, Fehrplay, Morgan Page, Markus Schulz, Donald Glaude, Dave Audé and more.

He also hosts The David Turner Music Show on Twitch, an extended weekly broadcast that has drawn 130,000+ hours watched and peaked at ~2,800 concurrent viewers, a live-streamed room where the driving-and-atmospheric approach plays out in real time.
